This painting was inspired by a beautiful photo by Geraldine Dukes in the UK. The painting features a tree by a river, captured in an impressionistic style that emphasizes the play of light, color, and movement within the landscape. I used loose brushwork and a soft, natural palette to convey the peacefulness and gentle flow of the river, as well as the sturdy presence of the tree.
