Mountain Sunset

The sky is burning itself out in waves of molten orange, magenta, and violet, and you can almost feel the lingering warmth on your skin. The dark silhouettes of the trees stand quietly along the shore, like silent witnesses to something sacred and fleeting. There’s a hush in the air, as if the world has paused just to watch the light dissolve into the water.
