Lake Katherine Waterfall
One of my Facebook friends, Nancy Pekala, posted a photo of her visit to the Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights, IL. I loved the composition of water and trees, in juxtaposition to the rocks, so I asked permission to paint it. You can almost feel the cool water on a hot summer day.
The painting beautifully captures the essence of nature with its vibrant colors and dynamic composition. The cascading waterfall serves as the focal point, drawing the viewer’s eye and inviting exploration of the surrounding landscape. Notice how the interplay of light and shadow enhances the texture of the water, creating a sense of movement and life.
