Fog in the Valley

This painting is based on a terrific photo by Idaho trail runner, Garrick Arends. I love how he captured the fog in the valley of the Grand Tetons in the Grand Teton National Park, where he frequently runs. The artwork beautifully captures a natural landscape, with a pathway leading through a lush, vibrant scene. The use of impressionistic techniques is evident in the brushwork and color choices, which suggest the textures of grass, flowers, and mist rather than detailing them precisely. The misty atmosphere, combined with the soft light, creates a sense of depth and mood, evoking the peacefulness and mystery of nature.
