Before the summer ended in August of 2023, I wanted to capture a series of beach images that people could enjoy in the colder months. This painting utilizes abstract techniques to interpret a beach scene, focusing on color, form, and texture rather than realistic representation. The emphasis on the emotions evoked by the coastal environment, conveyed through bold colors and gestural brushstrokes, is a key feature of Abstract Expressionism.
