Canadian Geese Living in Wales

I took the reference photo for this painting in Wales, on a trip to Britain in 2025. I was surprised to see Canadian geese there, but apparently, they are a common bird across most of the country, nesting on park lakes, flooded gravel pits and reservoirs. Canadian geese were introduced to the UK in St. James’s Park, London, in the 17th century! Today, the population is over 150,000 birds.
